چکیده

We consider a 2 d.o.f. Hamiltonian system with one degree of freedom corresponding to fast motion and the other corresponding to slow motion. The ratio of the time derivatives of slow and fast variables is of order 0 < ε ≪ 1. At frozen values of the slow variables there is a separatrix on the phase plane of the fast variables and there is a region in the phase space (the domain of separatrix crossings) where the projections of phase points onto the plane of the fast variables repeatedly cross the separatrix in the process of evolution of the slow variables. Under a certain symmetry condition we prove existence of many (of order 1/ε) stable periodic trajectories in the domain of the separatrix crossings. Each of these trajectories is surrounded by a stability island whose measure is estimated from below by a value of order ε. Thus, the total measure of the stability islands is estimated from below by a value independent of ε. The proof is based on an analysis of the asymptotic formulas for the corresponding Poincaré map.

Bifurcation of limit cycles from a quadratic reversible center with the unbounded elliptic separatrix

The paper is concerned with the bifurcation of limit cycles in general quadratic perturbations of a quadratic reversible and non-Hamiltonian system, whose period annulus is bounded by an elliptic separatrix related to a singularity at infinity in the poincar'{e} disk. Attention goes to the number of limit cycles produced by the period annulus under perturbations. By using the appropriate Picard...

Singularly perturbed Hamiltonian systems: the dynamics near slow manifold∗

When studying a slow-fast (singularly perturbed) Hamiltonian system in two degrees of freedom one can say unexpectedly much about its dynamics near its slow manifold. We demonstrate some details of this picture assuming the phase portrait of the slow system be known and generic. Since this latter system is in one degree of freedom, the problem in question is about the structure near the annulus...

Exponential Estimates of Symplectic Slow Manifolds

In this paper we prove the existence of an almost invariant symplectic slow manifold for analytic Hamiltonian slow-fast systems with finitely many slow degrees of freedom for which the error field is exponentially small. We allow for infinitely many fast degrees of freedom. The method we use is motivated by a paper of MacKay from 2004. The method does not notice resonances, and therefore we do ...

Determination of Stability Domains for Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Using the Weighted Residuals Method

Finding a suitable estimation of stability domain around stable equilibrium points is an important issue in the study of nonlinear dynamical systems. This paper intends to apply a set of analytical-numerical methods to estimate the region of attraction for autonomous nonlinear systems. In mechanical and structural engineering, autonomous systems could be found in large deformation problems or c...

Effect of progressive resistance exercise on β1 integrin and vinculin protein levels in slow-and fast-twitch skeletal muscles of male rats

Introduction: Skeletal muscle is a flexible and ever changing tissue and the role of costameric proteins in its response to different stimuli is not well defined. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of progressive resistance exercise on β1 integrin and vinculin proteins in fast and slow twitch skeletal muscles of male rats. Methods: Twelve male Wistar rats (weight: 298±5.2 gr...
